Caroline Gallagher @ Doggie Home from Home |
Which pet service/s do you offer? |
dog walking/dog sitting |
If you offer dog sitting or walking, please tell us some specifics. |
I offer a doggy day care. Clients drop their dogs (or I can collect) in the morning, we go for a long walk and in the afternoon they play or rest, depending on how active the dog is! Our garden is secure and about one acre, so plenty of room for adventures! |
What are your opening hours?
|
7 am to 7pm |
How long have you run your business for (in months or years)?
|
six months |
What type of pet/s do you have yourself? |
I have Rooney, a 9 month Shih Tzu/Bichon cross, with lots of attitude! |
Do you have any recommendations to other pet owners? |
no reply. |
Do you have any dreams for the future? |
This is the best job I have ever had. I have had dogs since I was a child and adore them. This job means I can be at the school gates to drop and collect my children, get plenty of exercise and look after my dog. How many jobs offer that?? I hope I am able to do this work until I'm 90!! |

Having had to go back to work full time I was dreading finding someone trustworthy and capable to look after my two energetic dogs that I adore so much. Within being at Carolines for 5 mins, I knew how fantastic with dogs she was, her home is sooo doggy friendly. She now looks after my two every week and she is a God send. The dogs are so happy, completely worn out after spending the day there and I can relax knowing they are in safe capable hands. She is a treasure and even leaves notes every day to say how their day has been and even left a disc showing me how they had settled in which certainly gave me peace of mind. Shes wonderful, try her! Our 5 month old Jack Russell Rufus absolutely loves his visits to Caroline! He goes on a weekly basis and also the odd overnight at a weekend. He is well cared for, has lovely long walks and always ready for a big sleep when he returns home in the evening!
Thank you Caroline and family for looking after Rufus so well, he loves coming to see you. Louise Hopper

George, my very active 18 month old labradoodle X stayed with Caroline for three nights in mid October. He was well exercised on his walks and there is also a large garden for the dogs to play in. He loved it; he came home happy and content - in fact it took a few minutes to persuade him to leave Rooney - Caroline's own dog. I will certainly leave him with Caroline again in the future. Looking for someone to care for your dog is a very difficult task, someone who is caring, trustworthy, loves dogs and able to offer a safe secure environment for your dog, with Caroline we were lucky to find all of this. If Caroline ever stops looking after Sophie we would be gutted. She always comes home tired and always eager to go back for more. Thank you Caroline, Rooney and family. Jonathan & Lauren Haines

Harry, our very energetic three year old Labrador stayed for five nights in Oct 07'. Harry enjoyed his twice daily long walks as well as all the love and attention he was showered with from Caroline and her dog-loving family. Harry will be returning for his holiday's next year. I would have no hesitation in recommending this as an ideal environment to leave a much loved dog. Ivor & Trish

i have left gus here a few times now knowing that he is going to be safe and looked after. 2 reasons why i know gus enjoys it here are that when we turn up he gets incredibly excited and ignores me and secondly he sleeps well when he gets back. AA++++++++++++ jim wright

We are delighted to recommend Caroline but being selfish would like to keep it a secret to ensure she is always there to look after Barney. A huge garden, well secured and a real home from home attitude in looking after our dog. A great place to leave Barney knowing he will be happy and contented, and perhaps a little bit spoiled. Our dog Chico is a 14 year old border collie, he has stayed with Caroline and her family a few times now, from short weekends to long weeks and we can not fault the treatment he has received, at times we thought he would tell us himself!! They are a lovely family and very welcoming, Chico would go back at any time as we have complete peace of mind when he is there. Anita Greer
