If you do dog sitting in your house, is your garden secure?
I do not offer dog sitting at my home.
If you do dog walking or dog sitting, how long are your walks with the dogs normally?
My visits when caring for dogs are for one hour this includes walking time & feeding. depends on the age of the dog & what the owner requires also.
How many dogs do you take into your house or on your walks?
I will walk up to 4 small breed dogs or 2 medium to large breed dogs at
one time.
Do you offer any activities for the pets in your care? For example Kong toys, search exercises, etc
We always offer play, games & cuddles again it depends on the dog & what
the owner requires.
How many pets do you have yourself and what are they?
As a household we have several pets. we have children also. we have 4 dogs, 2 gsds & 2 northern inuits. 2 ducks, 4 rabbits, 1 african grey parrot, an avairy with several parrakeets & a large pond with a mixture of ornamental goldfish & koi carp.

Spending time out in the countryside with the dogs, time with our children usually in the outdoors doing fun activities, time with my partner enjoying good food, we enjoy holidays all over the uk where dogs & kids are welcome.
Is there anything that you would always recommend others to try?
I would recommend that people always try something new & different at least once. you never know if you like something till you have a go!
Do you have dreams for the future?
I am currently studying a pet psychology so to do well in that would be great. ive already gone back to college as a mature student to study a national dipolma in animal management which i passed with a triple distinction. it was a great achievment especially when you are studying something you enjoy. it would be nice be sucessful enough to train someone to take over from me in the future so that my business can continue.

I contacted Rachael in Dec07. She had no pups available but helped with selection from an alternative breeder. Rachael gave great advice over the months as I trained my Inuit puppy who is now attending obedience training with Rachael’s company at BrooksbyCollege, MeltonMowbray. Rachael is a great trainer, breeder and dog lover. I have no hesitation in recommending her! Andy Pierrepoint

rachel looks after my girls when we all go away. The girls a boxer and a cross both getting old now love her to bits and that speaks volumes. We can go away without any guilt and secure in the fact they will be very well cared for and happy. kate goodacre

I first met Rachael in March of this year after my fiance and I bought a British Inuit dog called Dakota. We had some issues with him initially, although he was a constant ball of energy around the house, he hated going outside. When we took him out for walks we'd have to drag him which made him scream. He also was chewing anything he could get his mouth round; table legs, our arms and more worringly, our cat. After meeting with Rachel she suggested changing his diet, letting him spend time with her gorgeous dog Jerry-Lee and exercising him more than we were whist getting him used to being outside. We now have a fantastic dog, who I'm so proud of and who next month I'm running in a Canni-Cross race! Dakota's new behaviour and friendliness is undoubtedly down to Rachaels intervention. Without her, we'd definatley have had a monster on our hands! Nina Pulford

My fiance and I met Rachael earlier this year after trying to buy a puppy off of her, unfortunately the bitch she had miscarried but i was recommended to a friend of hers who sold me my beautiful British Inuit, Deefer. Since getting Deefer we have regularly consulted Rachael who has been an absolute Godsend with all her advice and help. We had various problems with Deef, he was forever chewing my shoes (only ever the left one!), wouldn't go to bed without yelping and howling like he was in physical pain and never returning to us when we called. After the first visit Rachael had assessed Deefer, completely understood what made some suggestions which we started doing. Deefer is now a joy to have! He's now a happy, playful, chilled out dog of 11months old who comes back when shouted (most of the time!) and is fantastic with other dogs. This last point I attribute to the fact that he regularly meets up and plays with Rachaels fantastic dogs. He also occasionally spends the night with her pack who have definately helped him to learn to act like a proper dog! I cannot recommend Rachael highly enough, her knowledge and expertise make her a fanstasically useful tool to raising a happy, well-behaved hound! She's Leicesters' very own dog whisperer (though ever so slightly louder!). Nick Shove

My husband saw Rachael's advert in the Rural Trader in June 2007 and as we have not had a holiday for many years due to the amount of pets we own (around 50 or so - chickens, ducks, rabbits, cats and a goat) decided to contact her to see if she could help us. We found Rachael to be very professional and friendly when she came to visit us and so we booked our first proper holiday with peace of mind knowing that our animals would be looked after. Rachael did a great job and we now know that we can have a holiday every year if we want to knowing that we will be leaving our pets in capable hands. Ben & Marianne Briggs

I first contacted Rachael in August this year about getting a new pup to go along with the GSD we already have at home. From the first interaction i was given straight forward honest advice about what we were looking for. We met up with Rachael at her home to meet the mother and father of the litter. Being a police dog handler previously i have always demanded to see the mother and father of my future dogs. Seeing them with Rachael confirmed what i already thought, the dogs came from a loving family home and where well cared for above my expectations. After a few months i am waiting to take delivery of our second dog in the next week or so. I have also used Racheal to care for my GSD whilst we went away. To me who looks after my dogs is a massive deal. A lot like who babysits your children some one you trust and who you know form your own experience knows what they are doing. Having been in a professional working dog environment dealing with Racheal out side of this has been a real breath of fresh air some one who finally cares and knows what they are doing. Aaron Hanna

We have two Northern Inuit dogs, one of whom, Timber is not yet two years old. At home he was a nightmare, constantly biting and pawing at us. When out walking he ran off all the time. Racheal has helped us so much, not just on how to work on these particular issues, but on developing our relationship with our dogs. The dogs are now much more part of the family, and we feel so much less stressed that we can enjoy them. Thanks Racheal! Amanda & Andrew Whitehouse

I met Racheal in January this year. After losing my husband. I was having a problem walking my blind/slightly deaf bull terrier who would howl on every walk. As with all bullies he loves company and had this when my husband was here (worked nights) so was home all day, while I worked. Racheal has not only walked him, taking him swimming and to the vets. but we also discussed what would be best for him. He has now been adopted by a couple who are more able to give him all day attention. heather

i had my puppy microchipped and the service was really good and affordable she was a very polite and lovley lady thinkin of having my can done by u real soon thanks once again racheal rebecca

25 January 2007

I live in London, but I own a dog which lives with relatives near Loughborough, and Racheal looks after her there - and I have every faith in Racheal's ability to look after her 'properly' and also, particularly, to manage in a crisis (as my dog, Carys, lives in kennels, there's always the possibility of a fight, and Racheal's the kind of no-nonsense individual who would intervene calmly but firmly in this situation, whereas other people I've met would just flap their hands about and do nothing particularly useful - like breaking it up promptly, and with a minimum of fuss). Rachel looked after my dog, cat and parrot for two weeks and i was very happy with the service i received. Joanne

25 January 2007

Rachael has been a god send to my family on more than one occasion. I have a dog (Tyson) who takes great pleasure in eating my house (hence his name!). But thanks to Rachaels advise and instructions he really has calmed down, which is good as you can only replace so many door frames and holes in walls before you go mad! Not only just good advise though Rachael looks after my dog when we go on holidays I know I can leave Tyson in Rachaels hands without any problems or come-backs and Tyson is always happy to go and happy when returning home. Thanks Rachael.  Michelle

22 January 2007

I originally met racheal for the first time when i bought a puppy from her. Since then we have became really close friends and she has helped and advised me all the way with my pup. Racheal is a very loving and caring person whose adores working with animals you can see her passion for them whilst working. Although she has four dogs of her own i still feel that she treats mine like one of the family. I would highly recommend her to anyone she is well trusted and VERY reliable.  paula clifford

20 September 2006

Racheal has been looking after my cats when I go away for nearly a year. She is brilliant and the cats really look forward to her coming. One of my cats is diabetic and Racheal has no problems doing her injections. My cats always look happy and well fed when I get home and are much happier than being in a cattery. I would highly recommend her. Claire Jones
